Safety Audits At Texas Public Schools

The Texas School Safety Center says it will conduct intruder audits at 75 percent or more of Texas schools before the school year ends. Over the summer, Texas ordered schools to check every exterior door at every campus following the Uvalde mass killing in which the gunman entered through an unlocked door. The schools are now required to make weekly checks, but many say they’ll check all entries daily.
