Senator Bryan Hughes
State Senator Bryan Hughes has introduced a bill in the senate that limits where convicted sex offenders can live. The legislation would allow counties to restrict sex offenders from child safety zones in the unincorporated area of any Texas county. The places that sex offenders would be unable to live are the same as it is inside most cities’ boundaries. Hughes’ district includes 15 counties in East and Northeast Texas.
