Sentencing Phase Of NE Texas Capital Murder Trial Underway

The sentencing phase in the capital murder trial of 39-year-old Telford Prison Unit inmate Billy Joel Tracy begins today. Tracy was convicted by a jury in New Boston of beating to death correctional officer Timothy Davison. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty, and the defense is asking for life without parole.
