Hopkins County Jail
A Hopkins County man has been sentenced to 39 years in prison after his probation was revoked on 2 previous counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child. Hopkins and Hunt County authorities testified during the hearing that 31 year old Brandon Lynn Pope failed to register as a sex offender for the last 4 years and had lied about his identity. He must serve at least 19 years of his sentence before becoming eligible for parole.
