Shatner To Perform At Opry In Today’s Nashville Roundup

The Tennesseean claims William Shatner is going to make his Grand Ole Opry debut on February 15th. He says; “I love country music. “A lot of people I know are country artists, and I envy them. The terrible truth is that I can’t sing, but what I do have is a feeling for poetry. I am trying to fuse the spoken word with music.”

Universal Records claims Keith Urban is going to perform at a tailgate party prior to the College Football National Championship Game on Monday in California. The tailgate party will take place at the game.

Universal Records says Carrie Underwood’s Hollywood Walk of Fame induction ceremony is going to be shown tonight on the CW Network. Her segment is part of a show called ”The Hollywood Walk of Fame Honors”.

Carrie Underwood tells Extra that her son Isaiah is excited about becoming a big brother. “He seems excited. He told me recently, though, that he would be mine and the new baby would be Daddy’s, so I feel like we’re gonna have to kind of work on that, but he’s a super helpful kid and I think he’ll be good.”

Brett Eldredge tells Sounds like Nashville that he hopes to start acting in 2019.“I’m just very animated, and I think that’s a lot of what acting is.”

Dan + Shay’s Dan Smyers tells Billboard magazine that he loves bringing his dogs on tour. “We always say no matter how stressful things get or how homesick you get being away from the house or if you miss a note during the show — whatever stresses you out — getting a kiss from a dog at the end of the night makes all the spirits go right back up. We love bringing them on the road … we can keep them safe out on the road and make sure they’re protected because they are part of the family.”

Jason Aldean tells The Tennessean that there is a reason he doesn’t talk much on stage. “I’m not a guy who stands up here and does a lot of talking throughout the night. I figure you all bought a ticket to hear me sing, not to hear me talk. It’s Friday night and all of you all are off work tomorrow. It’s Friday night. You’re going to tailgate tomorrow anyway … let’s get it started early.”
