Shooting Suspect Identified By Upshur County Deputies

Upshur County identified Craig Steven Harwart, 55, as the man who law enforcement officers shot Monday after a shooting spree at a Gilmer convenience store. Officials charged Harwart with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on a public servant. Harwart wounded one of the deputies that the hospital treated and released. He shot up two of the Upshur County vehicles. A judge set Harwart’s bond at a quarter-million, and he remains under guard at a Longview hospital.
