Slain DPD Officer Had Ties To NE Texas

Dallas Police officer Rogelio Santander, Jr., 27, who died Wednesday after he was shot at a Home Depot, had ties to Northeast Texas. He was a graduate of Texas A&M-Commerce where he studied Criminal Justice. He interned with the Commerce PD before joining the department in Dallas. His father, Rogelio Santander, Sr., owns a trucking company based in Commerce.
