Slain North Texas Police Officer Identified

Richardson Police Officer David Sherrard

The Richardson Police Officer who was murdered when he responded to a disturbance has been identified as 37-year-old David Sherrard, of Wylie, a 14-year veteran of the force. Also murdered was civilian 30-year-old Rene Gamez who lived in the apartment where the disturbance occurred. The suspect, 26-year-old Brandon McCall has been charged with Capital Murder.
