Slaton Urges Vote On Possibility Of Seccession

State Rep Bryan Slaton

State Representative Bryan Slaton, who represents Hopkins, Hunt, and Van Zandt counties, introduced a bill that, if passed, would place a referendum on the 2024 election ballot to decide whether or not the State should investigate the possibility of Texas independence and present potential plans to the Legislature. Slaton says the bill is not a for or against vote on secession but allows for exploration and discussion of the concept.
