Smith County Constable Begins Prison Sentence

Smith County Constable Henry Jackson reported to a low-security federal prison in Seagoville Friday to serve a six-month sentence for tax evasion. Jackson has not resigned and continues to receive his full salary as constable. Smith County Judge Nathaniel Moran’s had repeatedly urged him privately and publicly to resign.
