Lance Watson Smith County Jail
A Smith County jailer has been arrested and charged with smuggling prohibited substances to inmates. Lance Watson is being held in lieu of $75,000 bond on the felony charges. Investigators found a cellphone, a drug ledger, a controlled substance and security tools in an inmate’s cell. More contraband was found hidden between the bread in sandwiches in Watson’s lunch kit.
