SNAP Benefits Increase

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission provided more than $326 million in emergency SNAP food benefits in February. They expect the emergency allotment to help more than 1.6 million Texas households. In addition, the USDA will extend the maximum allowable SNAP benefits based on family size, and all SNAP households will receive a minimum of $95 in emergency allotments.
