Softball District Play Begins Tonight Plus Fister Has Strong Rangers Outing

 

The Texas A&M University-Commerce softball team has announced changes to its homestand against UT-Permian Basin over the weekend. The Lions and Falcons will now play a doubleheader on Friday starting at 4:00 p.m. The teams will play a single game on Saturday at 1;00 p.m. All games will be at John Cain Family Field. Admission to all games will be $1 per day for the special Spring Break weekend series.

In high School softball Prairiland wins a squeaker against Chisum 1-0.

The North Lamar softball team opens district play on Mix 107.7 tonight with pregame at 5:45. Paris will face Liberty-Eylau.

Nomar Mazara went two for two including his second homer of the spring as the Rangers beat the Brewers 6-5. Starter Doug Fister goes five innings giving up no runs on three hits and fanning one. The Rangers take on the Mariners in Surprise today. Game time is 3:05.

The Stars are in Ottawa to take on the Senators tonight. And the Mavericks are in Toronto to face the Raptors. Game time for both games is 6:30.
