Some Municipal Elections Canceled

They canceled some municipal elections for city councils and school boards slated for May 6 because the races are uncontested. Deport Mayor Pro Tem Craig Folse and Alderman John Lee Roach had no opponents to the city council. They appointed Tish Marshall to a vacant seat. The four incumbents on the Clarksville City council had no opposition. Likewise, there are no contested races for the North Lamar ISD Board.
