A congressional commission has made some recommendations to change the names of nine Army bases around the country, all named for Confederate generals. The panel wants to rename Ft. Hood Fort Cavazos in honor of General Richard Cavazos from Kingsville. Fort Gordon in Georgia would honor President Dwight Eisenhower from Denison. The commission wants to rename Fort Bragg in North Carolina to Fort Liberty.
