Source of Smoke: Prescribed Burn

From the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office: The Sheriff’s Office has received numerous phone calls in reference to the smoke in the air. The Army Corps of Engineers has a prescribed controlled burn going on the West side of Pat Mayse Lake they are burning approx 552 acres. With that much acreage being burned you will continue to see and smell smoke for quite awhile.
