Sports Update: Senior Spotlight On Chisum And North Lamar Athletes

Today’s senior spotlight features a member of the Chisum baseball team as well as a North Lamar Soccer player.

First, from Chisum Ryan Graham. Ryan’s parents are Stephanie and Curtis Graham, and he’s been on the varsity baseball team for two years. He’s a Texas Scholar and on the honor roll. Ryan’s a member of Southside Baptist Church, and after high school, he plans to attend Texas A&M Commerce to pursue a degree in criminal justice. Ryan Graham.

From North Lamar: Macie Pointer Macie’s parents are Michale and Jalane Pointer. She is a member of the volleyball team, soccer team, and the track team. Her favorite high school memory is beating Van in the second round of the playoffs in her junior year of volleyball. After high school, she plans on attending the University of Arkansas to pursue a major in interior design. When asked what she will miss most about high school athletics, Macie says the competition and her teammates most. Macie Pointer.

We lost a couple of basketball legends over the weekend. Legendary Utah Jazz coach and Hall of Famer Jerry Sloan and longtime college coach Eddie Sutton passed away over the weekend. Sutton was also a Hall of Famer.

The Match: Champions for Charity golf event featuring Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Peyton Manning, and Tom Brady averaged 5.8 million viewers on Sunday, making it the most-watched golf telecast in cable TV history.
