SSISD Calls Bond Issue Election

Sulphur Springs ISD has set a $93 million bond election for May 7, along with the municipal elections. If voters approve, the money will fund a replacement for Travis Elementary, renovations to the other elementary schools and the Academic Center, high school improvements, capital improvement projects, and new buses. Early voting begins on April 25. If the bond passes, taxpayers will notice about 8 ½ cents per $100 valuation more.
