STAAR Test Modifications For Grades 5 and 8

Texas will waive students’ requirements to make a specific score on the STAAR test to move on to the next grade level. Students will still be required to take the STAAR test if they are in grades five and eight, but there will be no requirements for advancing to the next grade level.
