With the election behind us, education advocates are now laying out priorities for the legislature when state lawmakers head back to Austin in January. The group, “Children at Risk,” worries that the drop in tax revenue during the pandemic could hit education funding. The Coronavirus would also stretch school districts’ budgets, so the state should step in to help bridge what school districts have called the digital divide.
