State Senator Hughes Proposes Bill Protecting School Security

State Senator Bryan Hughes of Mineola has introduced a bill. It grants immunity to a school district, charter school, or private school for any damages resulting from security personnel’s reasonable action to maintain the school campus’s safety. It Includes possession or use of a firearm. Hughes’ senate district is 16 counties, including Bowie, Camp, Cass, Franklin, Lamar, Morris, Red River, Titus, Upshur, and Wood counties.
