State Trooper Indicted For Child Sex Crimes

A former state trooper assigned to East Texas has been indicted by a Cass County grand jury for continuous sexual abuse of a child, indecency with a child by contact and indecency with a child by exposure. The DPS fired 33-year-old  Louis Paul Weems, of Marshall, after Texas Rangers investigated the allegations against him. He is currently free on $450,000 bond. Authorities say the investigation is continuing and more victims are possible.
