Student Struck By Vehicle Getting On Bus

A Cumby HS student was struck while walking to his school bus Wednesday morning. The bus was stopped at the Hwy 275 overpass on the I-30 service road to pick up passengers when a motorist allegedly disregarded the bus’s flashing lights and struck the 17-year-old boy. He was transported to Christus Mother Frances Hospital-Sulphur Springs with what authorities say were non-life-threatening injuries. The DPS is investigating.
