Sulphur Springs Council To Consider Homestead Exemptions

The Sulphur Springs City Council will consider granting homestead exemptions to residential taxpayers for city taxes. City Manager Marc Maxwell directed Assistant City Manager/Finance Director Lesa Smith to return to the May Council meeting with figures showing 10% growth and 20% homestead exemption. The School District already has a homestead exemption, as does Hopkins County. The Hospital District does not.
