The Sulphur Springs Police Department and Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office’s Blue Santa program will host a toy drive Monday and Tuesday at Lowe’s in Sulphur Springs. Officers and deputies will be collecting new and unwrapped toys between the hours of 7:00 am and 7:00 pm both days. Cash and checks are also greatly appreciated. Donations to Blue Santa may also be placed at locations in barrels throughout the county.
Renowned BBQ Chef, Pastor, Chaplain, former professional boxer C.J. Duffy, and Choice Hospice will provide lunch during the Blue Santa Drive. BBQ Sandwiches, Chips, and a Drink are available for $5, and for orders of five or more, lunch will be delivered by a law enforcement officer. STAR 95.9 will be broadcasting live from the event.
Applications for the Hopkins County Blue Santa Toy Drive are being accepted at CANHelp, 613 Gilmer Street, in Sulphur Springs through December 6 for Hopkins County families.
