Sulphur Springs ISD Board Briefs

A special meeting of the Sulphur Springs ISD school board was held Monday, January 23, 2023.

 

PUBLIC FORUM 

No one requested to address the Board. 

Superintendent Michael Lamb recognized board members for “Board Appreciation Month.” Each campus also sent gifts and tokens of thanks to the members. 

ACTION ITEMS

Along with routine matters, they approved the following: 

(CRRSA) Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, One-Time Budget Justification Narrative to purchase a safety surface for an outdoor library classroom for Douglass Early Childhood Learning Center. 

The Board purchased five buses as part of the TCEQ Texas Clean School Bus Program Grant. 

Application to TEA for Staff Development Waiver. 

Other

The Board approved extending the Superintendent’s contract for an additional year.
