Sulphur Springs Man Arrested After Attempting To Eat Evidence

36 year old Philip Joseph Gibson of Sulphur Springs was arrested on several charges after a traffic stop by Sulphur Springs. He fled the scene on foot but was captured after being tazed twice. Officers say he also attempted to hide a controlled substance by putting it into his mouth. Gibson was charged with possession of a controlled substance, tampering with evidence and evading arrest. His bond was set at $15,000.
