Sulphur Springs Man Jailed After Truck Stop Disturbance

William John Allen

Sulphur Springs Police arrested a 70-year-old man at the Love Truck Stop after a verbal dispute became physical. Allegedly, William John Allen, of Sulphur Springs, threatened a 54-year-old Commerce man with a toolbar, but never actually struck him. He was charged anyway with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and remained in the Hopkins County Jail under $30,000 bond.
