Sulphur Springs Police responded to a disturbance in the 300-block of Helm Lane and learned that the ex-boyfriend of a woman had forced his way into her residence and tried to strangle her. Officers arrested 31-year-old Jonathon Michael Rininger for Assault of a family or household member by impeding breath or circulation. His bond is $20,000.
