Sulphur Springs Man Jailed On 2nd-Degree Felony Drug Charge

Bond has been set at $30,000 for a Sulphur Springs man arrested early Thursday on a second-degree felony drug charge. Officers arrested 68-year-old Joe Dan Whitworth, Jr., was arrested after a traffic stop and found to be in possession of about 30 grams of suspected methamphetamine. He was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver. He remains in the Hopkins County Jail.
