Sulphur Springs police say the 14 year old boy accused of vandalizing the Hopkins County Veterans Memorial confessed after he was brought to the police department by his parents. He was charged with Class A misdemeanor Criminal Mischief and his punishment will likely be repairing the damage he caused. Investigators say the incident happened while the boy was at a large multiple church youth fellowship ralley on Celebration Square.
