Sulphur Springs police were dispatched to a residence on Fuller Street and made contact with 23 year old Kyri Shakur Ivory, who was acting belligerently and refused to calm down. She resisted officers and scratched one of them while being arrested. She was transported to the Hopkins County jail and charged with Assault of a Peace Officer and resisting arrest. Further investigation revealed she had attacked her brother with a knife and then bit him. A charge of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon-Family Violence was added.
