Suspect In Pursuit Jailed After Falling Into Sulphur Springs Pool

A Hopkins County Deputy stopped a car for speeding on Hwy 19 North of Sulphur Springs. When he approached the vehicle, the driver drove off. The driver was Ajalen Meontre Sanders, who continued to the loop at about 100 mph and then crossed I-30 at the bridge on mile marker 127. He jumped out of the car on Charles Street, and another officer chased him over several fences but then fell into a swimming pool. He was arrested for violation of parole, evading with a vehicle, tampering with evidence, and a misdemeanor.
