Suspect In Trooper Dragging Identified

The suspect involved in the dragging of a state trooper during a DWI stop on I-30 in Hunt County has been identified by the DPS as 30-year-old Matthias B. Slaughter of Garland. He was shot by the trooper but has been transferred to jail where he was charged with DWI, evading arrest, resisting arrest & aggravated assault on a public servant. The trooper who was dragged during the incident has been released from the hospital and is recovering.
