Mid America Pet Food, LLC, Manufacturer of VICTOR® Super Premium Pet Food, Acquired by TA Associates
Mount Pleasant, Texas (Dec. 16, 2020) – Mid America Pet Food, LLC (Mid America Pet Food), manufacturer of VICTOR® Super Premium Pet Food (VICTOR), announced that TA Associates (TA) had acquired them. TA Associates is a leading US-based private equity firm from Trinity Hunt Partners. Officials did not disclose the terms.
Founded in 2007, Mid America Pet Food offers super premium pet food and is best known for its VICTOR brand and providing high-quality nutrition for a common-sense value. VICTOR is sold primarily in farm and feed stores and independent pet stores across the country and through select online retailers. Nationally recognized, VICTOR formulas are a trusted source of nutrition for pet owners, professional trainers, breeders, outdoorsmen, and more. Based out of East Texas, VICTOR manufactures all kibble in-house while sourcing many ingredients from farms and suppliers within a day’s drive of the plant. Every ingredient in VICTOR formulas serves a purpose, and they test to ensure the health and safety of the pets VICTOR is entrusted to feed.

In this transaction, TA has joined Rx3 Growth Partners (Rx3), a growth equity fund founded by Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. This transaction marks the second private equity investment into Mid America Pet Food as TA and Rx3 complete their investment into Mid America Pet Food from Trinity Hunt Partners. This growth-oriented middle-market private equity firm invested in Mid America Pet Food in 2014.
