Texas A&M-Commerce will officially introduce Jim Curry as the next Director of Athletics with a Meet and Greet on Tuesday, April 11, at 4:00 pm in the Music Building Lobby on the campus of A&M-Commerce. The event is open to all.

Stranda sits in a tie for eighth place. Lions tied for sixth at Oral Roberts.

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – Henriette Stranda tied for eighth place after Monday’s first two rounds of the Oral Roberts Spring Invitational at The Club at Indian Springs. 

Stranda (Kraakstad, Norway) shot a 77 in the morning but improved by eight strokes in the afternoon, shooting a 69 to close out the lovely day. She leads the Lions, tied for sixth place with Wichita State. Both teams carded a score of 611. 

Marie Naeher (Neuenbuerg, Germany) tied for 30th with a score of 154 (77-77). Benz Far-Arun (Bangkok, Thailand) is a stroke behind, being tied for 33rd place with a score of 155 (78-77), and Jordan Dusckas (Flower Mound Marcus) is another stroke behind Far-Arun. She tied for 36th place with a score of 156 (78-78). Julianna Crow (Trinity School of Midland) tied for 63rd place with a score of 166 (78-88). 

Sam Houston is the lone team under par after the first two rounds with a score of 576. The Bearkats hold a 16-shot lead over the hosts, Golden Eagles. SHSU’s Jennifer Herbst is up by one stroke over ORU’s Lydia Swan for the leader.

The third and final round of the tournament tees off on Tuesday morning.
