Tarantula Season In Texas

Texas is right in the middle of the “tarantula migration” season. You can find fourteen species of tarantulas throughout the state. Tarantulas are especially common in grasslands under logs or stones, spaces under loose bark of tree trunks, and old rodent burrows. While their bites may be painful, tarantulas are not harmful to humans, and the venom injected is not dangerous.
