Capital Murder Trial Starts For Accused East Nurse

The trial begins today for a former East Texas nurse accused of killing four patients. The state is charging 37-year-old William George Davis of Hallsville with Capital Murder of Multiple People. Smith County prosecutors say he intentionally injected air into patients’ arterial systems while a nurse at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Louis and Peaches Owen Heart Hospital. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty if Davis is convicted.
