Mabank Police responded to a residence where they found a 24-year-old man with a headshot wound. Officers began life-saving measures on Peter Parker of Canton, who they took to UT-Health in Gun Barrel City, where he was pronounced dead. Officers spoke with three witnesses at the scene of the shooting and arrested a juvenile for manslaughter. He’s in the Van Zandt County Juvenile Detention Center.
