Teen Dies In Upshur County Crash

Sunday afternoon before 1:30 there was a two-vehicle fatal crash on FM-1650 in Upshur County. It was eight miles east of Gilmer. Reportedly the driver of a 2005 Dodge Dakota, Jimmy Earl Moore, 76, of Longview, failed to yield the right of way exiting a private drive on the west side of FM-1650 to a 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser. , driven by Taylor Blane Ehrensberger, 18, of Gilmer, was driving the Chrysler traveling south on the same roadway. The crash killed Ehrensberger. Justice of the Peace Rebecca Skinner pronounced her dead. They transported her to McWhorter Funeral Home in Gilmer. Paramedics transported Moore to Longview Regional Hospital in stable condition. The crash remains under investigation.
