Teen Dies In Wreck Following Police Chase

An East Texas teenager leading police on a high-speed pursuit that began in Tatum has died of injuries he received when he crashed into a parked 18-wheeler. Reportedly 17-year-old Christopher Ballard, of Kilgore, failed to stop after he was clocked at 83 in a 55 mph zone. He led officers on the chase into Rusk County where he wrecked out near Henderson.
