Tennessee Man Jailed After Traffic Stop in Hopkins County

Sulphur Springs police interdiction officer Buddy Williams stopped a Tennessee man for a traffic violation on I-30. Further investigation revealed that the driver, 35-year-old Jerome Sherrod Gibson of Memphis was a convicted felon. He was in possession of a firearm at the time of the stop and was arrested.  His bond on the weapons charge was set at $10,000.
