The Texas Department of State Health Services reports that Tuesday’s daily increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in Texas reached a new pandemic high of 10,745. The number of Texas cases has doubled in the last 18 days. The state reported 87 additional coronavirus-related deaths on Tuesday. Oklahoma said they had 993 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, the state’s highest single-day surge since the pandemic began. There were four additional deaths, one of whom was a McCurtain County man over 65.
