It’s been more than six months since Texas nursing home residents could have in-person visits. But that’s going to change this week. Beginning Thursday, a resident will be allowed two designated essential family care-givers who can visit, although just one at a time. They’ll have to get training on the use of PPE and infection control. They’ll also have to test negative for the Coronavirus within 14 days of the first visit.
