Texas Country Music Hall of Fame Inductees

Kenny Rogers and Bobbie Nelson will become the newest additions to the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame on Saturday, Aug. 12. Doors open at 6:00 pm at the Carthage Civic Center. Rogers, a Grammy Award winning superstar, was born in Houston in 1938. Nelson, the sister of Willie Nelson, was born in Abbott and is a singer and pianist. She is a member of her brother’s band, Willie Nelson, and Family and has toured full time since 1973.
