The death toll of the coronavirus in Texas surpassed 7,000 fatalities on Monday, according to the latest data from state health officials. The Texas Department of State Health Services reported 37 new deaths Monday, bringing the total to 7,016 fatalities. The health agency also reported 5,839 new confirmed cases of the coronavirus.
