Texas is becoming the latest state to cancel the extra federal unemployment aid early. The governor is ending it tomorrow, under pressure from groups like the Texas Restaurant Association. Spokeswoman Anna Tauzin says the goal is to get more people off unemployment and back to work. Hundreds of thousands of Texans have been receiving federal pandemic assistance.
