We have not finished with 2020, and there have been more background checks and guns sold than in all of 2019. Gun sales typically go up some in a presidential election year. Still, Robert Owens from Owen-Riggs firearm training service says the pandemic has caused an increase in crime, and riots and demonstrations have taken police out of neighborhoods. Owens says that gun training isn’t keeping up with gun sales. He says that law requires a gun owner trained for safety and storage.
