The Bureau of Labor Statistics released a report that says Texas led the country in new nonfarm jobs last year. Texas employers added 650,100 nonfarm payroll jobs, a five percent jump from December 2021 5o December 2022. As a result, Texas’ unemployment rate dropped to 3.9%, the first time it fell below 4% since the forced business closures at the onset of the coronavirus pandemic.
