Texas Rangers Investigating East Texas Inmate’s Death

Texas Rangers are investigating the death of an inmate at the Nacogdoches County Jail Monday morning. The inmate, 31-year-old Andrew Haffert, had been arrested Sunday night after a standoff with a SWAT team. He had allegedly shot a man in the face during a burglary. No other details on Haffert’s death have been released.
